Fancy storage bag.

This is made for my niece to store her Odiyanam (traditional hip belt.  The shopkeeper advised to store it wrapped in a cotton cloth so that it doesn't loose its shine. Instead of wrapping in a cloth, I thought of making a bag.

Mobile pouch

This is a mobile pouch made from waste material after sewing a salwar for my client.
The blue material is the bottom of salwar, beige is from tops. I got this mango motif uncut from tops while shaping the neck. Sewed with zigzag stitch in my machine. Stitched velcro to secure the opening.

Paavadai / Full skirt 1

This one is pure silk paavadai / long skirt. I felt very dry stitching the full skirts in the same pattern and it was boring. So was searching the net. Still couldn't find a design or cutting which satisfied me. But my Daughter was pestering me finish it of soon as she was very eager to wear.

Designer Blouse 7

The main part of the episode is I stitched both blouses in three days time. That is record time for me. Otherwise I will be thinking...thinking...for the pattern itself for a week.

Designer Blouse 6

My sister-in-law came here on vacation last month. She couldn't find a tailor who will stitch a designer blouse and give it on time for the occasion of her cousin brother's wedding.. I pounced on the opportunity to utilize my skill to try petal sleeves which I learned from Vani mam's blog when my sister-in-law asked me with much hesitation as she didn't want to disturb me.

Designer Blouse 4

This is a very nice peacock green chiffon saree with scarce gold color prints. Wanted to have a very short sleeves like magyar sleeves but not a sleeveless.

Designer Blouse 3

This Blouse was stitched for my sister-in-law, for a nice green saree with thin maroon border. She just likes only very simple design, not anything grand. So stitched mango motifs at the back and small mango motifs in the sleeves. The motifs all together costed Rs.75/-. Simple on purse too.

Designer Blouse 2

My first Designer Saree purchased for Diwali 2010. It is cool blue.

It is an ordinary blouse design just with a string at the back. There was no need of too much work to do at the back.

Designer Blouse 1

Here, I am posting all the blouses designed by me either before or after stitching. Sometimes I don't get the idea what to design or I may not get the required designs or motifs which I will be having in my mind. Depending on the idea I get after raking my brain, I do the designs. But sure enough I have to decide on the neck design before stitching.

So here is my first one:  Blouse 1
